Today Adrian had a presentation about the Legacy Hall. Legacy Hall is a presentation about the history of the school that will be included in a new hall they're building on campus. Adrian and a few others presented this to President Henry Eyring Junior (Vice President of BYUI) and a few other important people. This morning Adrian stated that he hoped that today wasn't "Bring Your Dad to Work Day."
Lewis said that when President Eyring was President of Rick's college, he was their home teacher.
He was in the ward bounds.
Talk about pressure.
He said that President Henry Eyring Junior was a twirp when he was younger.
Hmm.
Today was Paddy's birthday.
She turned 77.
I made her a cake.
She ate it.
So did I.
Lewis looks good in baby blue.
I said so to him.
He said it was from his navy days.
It's funny to hear what Paddy calls the great grand children.
Last week Lew made me eat catfish.
This week it was Salmon.
Salmon is better than catfish.
Next week it's Red Snapper.
Can't wait.
I've been thinking about death a lot.
In how after two or three generations no one knows those people anymore.
But how when you look through family trees there's always names that stick out to you.
To me Annie Jones (Lewis's Mom)
And Sophia Smith (My Great Grandmother)
I never liked Earl.
He never liked me.
Adrian and I handle death differently.
I guess I'm cold hearted.
Adrian always talks about the past.
I always talk about the future.
Everyone I know from my college career is gone.
Not a soul I know.
No roommates.
No classmates.
I haven't made one friend in our ward in a year.
That's not like me.
It's hard to detach clingy husbands.
And clingy husbands annoy me.
I wish that we had a mini bar.
That never emptied.
That was complimentary to University Courtyard.
I don't know what to do with Adrian in the evenings now.
With neither one of us having homework.
I think bike rides.
I wish it would rain.
I like the smell of sage brush in the rain.
I like country music.
Even the whiney kind.
But not Kenny Chesney.
He's a beach bum trying to be a cowboy.
I'm no cowboy.
I'm no beach bum either.
When I have a yard, I want a woolly yard.
Roses on the east.
Peonies.
Poppies.
Forsythia Bushes.
Maples.
Manicured yards make for ugly pictures.
I don't like fake fingernails.
I think they look like horse hooves.
I'm still waiting for the pony I asked for when I was 5.
When I was five Lauren Davis was my best friend.
She moved in the 3rd grade.
I had Mrs. Ware as a teacher for 3rd grade.
She had fake fingernails.
Everyone beside us, below us, kiddy cornered
to us is gone.
It's nice not knowing when your neighbor is going to the bathroom.
I need to clean the shower.

I liked this one! Felt like you were right here. These lists always create pictures for me.
You say you are looking for things to do in the evenings. I think bike riding is a good plan. Jennie and I are trying to become hardcore hikers... taking a slow start though. Bike riding is also something we would like to do but we have no bikes.
