My mom is amazing.
My dad is great.
I have three awesome brothers.
Adrian is the best.

Fact:
It's been an overcast, drizzly day.
My favorite kind of day.
I think I needed sunshine today though.
I talked a guy mowing the lawn, he was sweating a lot.
He said that people told him Rexburg doesn't get hot.
Those people are mistaken.
People misjudge Rexburg a lot.
It's quite irritating.
Yesterday one of Adrian's good friends was saying how ugly Idaho was.
And how beautiful Seattle was.
And how there was nothing to do in Rexburg.
This is how I feel:
Seattle is beautiful.
Sure you've got lots of green.
Lots of trees.
Lots of water.
All obvious beautiful things.
Adrian's friend has never sat on a front step
and watched the light shine through sprinklers
or heard the chk chk that they make.
He's never appreciated the sound of corn growing,
The squeak that sugar beet leaves make.
He's never explored the bottom of a canyon.
And with nothing to do in Rexburg.
My response is, only the unimaginative and close minded
find nothing to do in Rexburg.
Drop him off in Murtaugh and make him stay there for a week.
He'll get creative real fast.
My mom always says that if you're bored, there's always a toilet to clean.
One thing about me that drives Adrian nuts,
Is that I leave the toilet seat up.
I was raised in house of boys.
Doesn't help putting it down, never stays there.
I think it would be good for my brothers to call each other more.
Out of the blue Adrian asked me if I'd be ok living in Texas.
I said no, I don't want to drive for three days and still be in Texas.
He asked Denver, I said yes.
I don't ski though.
I would try snow shoeing.
I couldn't get ahold of a friend that I'm taking pictures for.
When she finally called I was so relieved that I asked her a million questions and talked really fast.
When done, Adrian said I was just like my mom.
I'd rather be like her than anybody else.
I don't like it when people assume I'll take pictures for them.
I don't like it when people assume my mom will just take care of things.
A girl at church asked if I had any family reunions to go to this summer.
I just laughed.
It breaks my heart every time I leave Lewis in the afternoon.
Knowing he'll put Paddy to bed early
And spend the rest of the evening alone watching TV.
A "privilege" of growing up next to Grandparents I guess.

One of My.
Favorite songs by one of my favorite artist. I think she's adorable. But sometimes she looks like a female version of Evan McDonald, which isn't so adorable.

Harper!
This is you! It always boggles my mind when I see people I know on blogs!

Fact:

This is Adrian.
In our bathroom.
Lit with a mounted flash.
Open loop lighting.
A little bit low.
Alas, not bad for a tool that I never got along with!
Joslyn talked with me about flashes yesterday.
She said ideally I need two.
We'll see.
Right now I'm taming one.
Maybe I'll convert our bathroom to a studio.
Ha ha.
Joslyn grew up in Lewis and Paddy's ward.
I forgot to apologize,
And to not judge me by how crazy they are!
I want it to be August 15th.
Our neighbors are back.
I'm a sucker for ice cream cones.
Sometimes our living room smells like watermelon.
Adrian doesn't like watermelon.
Or zucchini.
Or cottage cheese.
I am 1st cousins 13 times removed with WIlliam Shakespeare.
Through the Hall side.
And 3rd cousins twice removed with Elder Oaks.
He grew up in Twin Falls.
We're pretty tight.
Also 9th cousins 3 times removed with Walt Disney.
I think I should get the family/friend discount.
Also Lewis and Clark.
I love those guys.
Go here: http://roots.cs.byu.edu/digroots/index.php.
Find out who you're related to.
Adrian's not related to anybody.
His parents numbers aren't hooked together.
Adrian is an orphan.
I'm a pretty big family history nerd.
Just one more thing to add to the
"Why Laura is really an 80 year old woman list"
The other day we were going by the temple.
There was a family taking a snapshot.
I said to Adrian we should stop and take a picture so that the dad could be included in the picture.
Adrian hesitated. Then said that I didn't know how to use a point and shoot.
He's right, I don't.
I should have stopped.
I don't like Orkin commercials, with the giant cockroaches.
Gross.
Sometimes toothpaste tastes like root beer.
Adrian and I have discussed this.
This past weekend was our first anniversary.
Go us.
We celebrated in true Adrian and Laura style.
Nice and quite with no hoopla.
