Booby Pictures.

So it all started this morning with a conversation between mom and me about booby traps. Then we wanted to know why booby traps were called booby traps....so we found out. It's called that after the bird (read below!). So then one curious idea lead to another curious thought...we wanted know what a booby looked like. Well....come to find out...I took a picture of a booby the week before. Not what both of us thought!

The Origin of the Booby Trap.

Booby trap comes from a sailing background. Sailors would set up a simple rope noose on the decks of their ships baited with bread or stale biscuits. Passing seabirds, like booby's would land on deck seeking rest or shelter and be lured and caught in the rope, hence "bobby trap."

Since I've Been Home.

I've done a few things. First I made a quilt. Throw size. I like it. It's a bunch of different and random fabrics, it's just fun and happy. It's true I'm turning into my mother...which is a good thing! Second, in high school my friend gave me a poster with things from Paris on it (we went to Europe together) with a frame her dad had made. Well I figured the poster had served it's purpose so I popped it out put one of matted prints in it. I think these two things go well together.

I think I need a haircut....but who do I see.

I'm coming up with ideas and keeping my sanity. But it's fun, kinda weird, oh well. Anyway, I liked this one, kinda quirky.

It's True.

I might be bored. I have found myself with a little more free time than I've been used to. Whatever.

Awkward.

So in my spare time and sometimes not in my spare time I browse different photographers websites or blogs or whatever. Well it's happened several times that on their sites or wherever I find people I know. It always throws me off, it's funny, and almost kind of awkward, I never like to look at the pictures (I mean study them and look at different posing and lighting and whatever) it makes me feel kinda uncomfortable.

Anyway, yes, Robert and Malinda I found your wedding pictures from six years ago on a photographer's website.

This is just a shadow of a bush hitting my window and the screen.

It seems like I'm doing a photo of the day, but as soon as I say that I am, it's not going to happen. Guaranteed. I just keep seeing things around me that I want to take a photo of. So I'll just keep seeing things.

When I would tell people where I lived I always said drive and drive and drive until you see a big white house with a red roof, yeah, it's the one next door. The Pence's just have a very distinguishable house. I actually really like it. They have some great landscape going on.

Being corrected on how to do something when there is more than one right way to do something.
Snooze Buttons.
In movies where there's a scene that the front door is open then the next scene it is closed...how did that happen?
When your shoes feel like they're suffocating your feet.
Or bunches in your socks.
Tardiness.

So do these pictures go together? I know they go together because they're two pictures of the same house. But do they go together as if hanging side by side on the wall?
