Remember this quilt that I sewed in a day? My bum does.
This is being displayed at The Quilt Barn.
In Kimberly, ID.
They quilted it for free for me, if I let them use it to sell fabric.
So here it is quilted.
And bound.
It's in their window.
Hope it doesn't fade.
I know I've been into sewing a lot lately.
It's my survival mechanism.
Because if I just think about colors,
And measurements,
And numbers,
And yardage.
Then I don't have to think about Adrian's homework.
Adrian trying to find a job.
Adrian's BFA.
Moving.
Packing.
Staying awake 'til 1 in the morning doing homework.
Church callings.
Meetings.
Having to go to the dentist. (I loath the dentist.)
Adrian taking on freelance work.
All these things that I can only help a little.
Or have to wait to do them.
So if I think about fabric.
I keep my sanity.
At least for a while.
Yeah, my palms are back to itching.
It's what happens when I'm stressed.
Anyway, Jacqueline...I don't get my fabric in Rexburg.
If you want to know where, I will email you a list of the places I go.
Rexburg isn't the place to go for fabric unless you're needing solids.
Then it's great.
I'm listening to Bob Dylan right now.
I know it's Sunday.
But I'm just not one of those people that can't listen to church music all day.
And I have to listen to music when I'm home alone or I go crazy.
You can judge me.
I don't care.
Sundays are so long in Rexburg.
Anyway, I'm going to have my own textile line within the year.
With Moda.
Just you wait and watch.
I'm going places.
Once we finish all of Adrian's things.
See I always go back to fabric.
I may or may not have had 5 chocolate dipped strawberries for breakfast.
Hence the dentist.
Urg. I hate dentists sooo bad.
Actually any doctor really.
No offense Chad.
It's not you.
They just think their time is more important than mine.
And they always have cold hands.
And dentists always ask you questions when they have their fingers in your mouth.
Seriously.
Anyway. I'm grateful for doctors and for the things they do.
But really for all the time we spend in doctor offices we could live a second life.
Hello dentist, I have fabric to sew!
I've been home alone too much.

super love that quilt! The colors are amazing. Congratulations on them loving it too. Thanks for all you do to help Adrian, you are very much appreciated.
That is so awesome Laura! And I love textile design!!! I submitted some designs to a textile design contest and it is super addicting! Even though I'm sure you are more pro at it! you can do it!
Love the quilt...Good luck at the dentist (don't leave bite marks)...How's your hand?
I know we didn't talk much when we were in the same ward but I am blown away at your talent for quilting! it is beautiful!! Where do you get your fabric, its such a great combination! I have been working on a few quilts, but they're boring compared to yours!!
This post has sadness between the lines. It is a beautiful quilt and I hope the other lonely and stressful stuff goes away quickly.
This list was particularly entertaining. Also- SINCE WHEN DO YOU SEW/QUILT?! I'm jealous! These are SO cute!! :/ It's cool though, I'm going to start sewing now that my sewing machine fits in my apartment!! wee!!!
